Speech & Language Therapist Ark Brunel Primary Academy Ark Brunel Primary Academy is a mixed, non-selective primary school located in North Kensington, in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. We are looking for a committed and inspirational Speech and Language Therapist to effectively manage a caseload of pupils with persistent speech and language impairments within the Speech and Language Resource Base and the mainstream classes at Ark Brunel Primary Academy. You will deliver comprehensive, evidence based speech and language therapy interventions based on the strengths and needs of the children as demonstrated by their results; and work collaboratively with all academy staff to ensure speech and language strategies and targets are integrated into curriculum planning and delivery. This is your opportunity to join our Speech and Language Resource Base, where you will have the opportunity to deliver interventions consistently and see the impact on pupils’ daily learning. The Language Centre opened in September 2015 and caters for children from EYFS to KS2, the centre has a total capacity of up to 16 children and it provides small group specialist teaching and intensive speech and language therapy to children with significant Speech, Language and Communication Needs. Ideally the children will transition back into mainstream schools, whilst others will continue in the specialist provision. The aim of the centre is to ensure that all the children continue their education while feeling confident about their speech, language and communication skills. We want the children to be able to use strategies to help them learn and communicate effectively in school and in a range of everyday environments.
