Head of Computer Studies
Reports to: Assistant Principal Data and Assessment; KS4
Start date: Easter/September 2023
Contract: Full time, flexible working option available
Salary: £35,368-45,876 (ARK Main Pay Range AM1 – AM6) + £5,023 (TLR 2B)

The Role:
You will develop the Academy’s provision of Computer Science, maintaining our outstanding history of outcomes and student destinations. You will interpret and develop results to make improvements in pupil achievement. You will also assist the Assistant Principal/Principal, in monitoring, evaluating and continually improving the quality of planning, teaching and learning, and assessment of all members of the subject team.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Degree in Computer Science or related subject
- A robust awareness of keeping children safe, noticing safeguarding and welfare concerns, and understanding how and when to take appropriate action
- Excellent interpersonal, planning and organisational skills
- Resilient, motivated and committed to achieving excellence
- Reflective and proactive in seeking feedback to constantly improve practice
