Speech and Language Teacher
Ark Brunel Primary Academy
We are looking for a highly motivated teacher who has the vision
and desire to teach across the full primary age range in our
dedicated speech and language resource-base.
Our multi-million pound new building opened in April 2014, with
state of the art language rooms in the heart of the school.
The
resource-base supports children from reception to key stage 2
who have an education and health care plan for speech,
language and communication needs. You will work alongside the
inclusion lead, SENCo, speech and language therapist and
specialist support staff to secure the very highest standards for
the children who access the resource base. You will work with
small classes, adapting our exciting curriculum to meet their
specific needs.
Our ideal candidate will:
•be passionate about the potential of the children who access the
resource base
•work with a like-minded team, developing curriculum excellence
together in an area of high deprivation
•share our passion for giving children life-changing experiences
and qualifications as part of the school curriculum
•work hard to develop oracy, speech, language and
communication across the entire school
This is a great opportunity to have a real and lasting impact. As
part of the Ark Network, you will be supported by unrivalled
training and CPD to develop yourself as an outstanding teacher
and leader. We offer twice the standard number of professional
training days, attractive remuneration, above the national pay
scales, as well as a range of benefits including reduced gym
membership and retail discounts. Visits to our school are warmly encouraged: to arrange a visit,
