Salary: Ark Outside London Support Scale 7, Pay Points 14-24: £25,409 to £31,099 (pro rata)

Actual salary: £22,317.96 - £27,315.77

Hours: 36 per week, term time only plus 1 week to be worked in the school holidays (40 weeks per year)

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for someone who will be dedicated and enthusiastic to lead attendance on one of our campuses so that our young people’s attendance is consistently above the national average.

The successful applicant will be joining a small team and will work in conjunction with the Senior Attendance Lead and Heads of Year to secure high levels of attendance with effective monitoring and tracking of student’s attendance and punctuality.

This is a term time only position, which means you will only work 39 weeks of the year, plus one extra week in the school holidays as directed by your line manager. Pay is spread evenly over the year so you would never have a month without money.

Our standards are high, and we need someone who can be a team player and flexible when supporting other colleagues with the ability to be resilient, calm and professional under pressure.

As the ideal candidate you will:

  • Have a GCSE in English and Maths, level 4/C or above (or equivalent)
  • Be committed to raising attendance in a challenging environment
  • Have a resilient character and a strong personal drive
  • Have an unwavering determination to work with students of all abilities
  • Have the ability to work effectively with challenging behaviour from adults and students
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational and administrative skills
  • The ability to work in a team
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • Excellent ICT skills including strong understanding of relevant attendance software e.g. BROMCOM or Excel
