Come and work with great colleagues doing exciting things in West London’s best kept secret. We are looking for a Premises Assistant, to assist our Operations Manager in Maintaining our school Building.
You will play an integral role in the team, responsible for ensuring Ark Acton Academy is a safe, inviting, and positive learning environment for students, staff and visitors. You will work to ensure the highest quality of premises maintenance.
We are a diverse and vibrant academy, having every language on the DfE census represented in the Academy and we are proud to be a true comprehensive school and we maintain this comprehensive intake right through into our 6th form.

The ideal candidate will:
- Experience of building maintenance or other relevant experience
- Understanding of and ability to apply relevant regulations (health & safety, fire, manual handling regulations)
- Ability to monitor the work of others (e.g. contractors and cleaners)
- Ability to use a computer and undertake administrative tasks
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Willingness to undertake training
- Ability to use MS Office, particularly Outlook to manage email and calendars
- Skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry/joinery, painting and glazing desirable.
- Value and support practices driving continued progress across the network of Ark schools

Start date: Immediate Start
Location: Ark Acton Academy (Gunnersbury Lane, Acton, London, W3 8EY)
Contract: 36 hours per week, shift patterns to be agreed on appointment.
Salary: Ark Support Band 5 (points 5 to 13) £25,762 - £29,419 Pro rata
