Ark Putney Academy opened in September 2012 as part of the Ark network in the London Borough of Wandsworth. Ark Putney Academy is a mixed school with 856 students, ranging from year 7 through to our successful sixth form.

We are looking to appoint a Head of Music to ensure excellent teaching and learning takes place.  They will design an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires students to appreciate the subject and its application. 

The music department is a team of 3 including one full time Music Technician who leads on the academy’s extra-curricular offer plus one part time peri teacher. 

The department has a bespoke Mac suite and an additional teaching room.  It also has a recording studio and six practice rooms.  In addition, the academy benefits from fantastic facilities including a 1000 seat hall, theatre and amphitheatre.

Salary: Ark MPS or UPS (Inner London) £32,960-£43,689 or £48,852 - £52,986 depending on experience plus TLR2C £7017
Start date: 1 September 2021 or 1 January 2022
