1:1 Teaching Assistant – fixed term contract for one year

Ark Dickens Primary Academy in Portsmouth is a two-form entry primary academy, which became part of the Ark network in September 2014.

We are looking to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a committed team of ambitious staff who will support pupils, and the school to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make good academic progress.

• be an experienced TA with experience of supporting the learning of children with autism and ADHD
• be enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to work

Contract:                           Fixed Term contract until 31/08/2022

This is a fixed term role and is dependent on government funding. The contract is linked to receipt of such funds. The role is initially anticipated to last for one academic year but may be extended or come to an end if funding were to be withdrawn for example, if the child the role supports were to no longer be at the school.

Salary:                    Ark Support Staff Scale Band 3 Point 2 – 5: £18,198 - £19,312 Pro rata

(Actual salary - £15,584.58 - £16,538.60)                                         

        36 hours per week, Term time only
