Ark Castledown Primary Academy is a successful and popular school in the heart of Hastings. Last year pupil outcomes were above national averages in all areas, and significantly above for KS2.  It is currently in the top 1% of schools nationally for improvement.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Business Manager to join our Leadership Team.   This role will involve leading on finance, HR and site management across the academy.  We can offer you excellent opportunities for professional development as well as the support and guidance of an experienced and outstanding senior leadership team. You will also benefit from considerable administrative and site support in the form of our Regional Finance Director, Academy Site Manager, Receptionist and Academy Secretary.  The Castledown team work closely with Ark Blacklands and Ark Little Ridge Primary Academies both of whom have long-standing and experienced Business Managers who will work closely with you in your new role.

The successful candidate will:

·         be committed to improving educational outcomes for our pupils

·         enjoy working part of a strong network of academies

·         have a strong sense of moral purpose

·         have well-developed ICT skills

·         have experience of people management

·         have experience and/or knowledge of schools or education administration

·         have experience of finance administration and basic financial processes
