Primary Student Support Manager (& Primary First Aid Lead)
For this critical role of Student Support Manager & First Aid Lead, we are seeking a motivated and progressive individual to work with our pastoral team and to support students’ learning by focusing on behaviour, attendance and to promote personal excellence.
You will work closely with staff, parents and external agencies to develop positive attitudes and approaches to learning and be the first point of contact for parents with queries about support for their child, contributing to the overall management of support and care for the learners of this large all-through School.
In addition to this, as lead first aider you will administer urgent first aid to students and staff with illnesses or injury in the Primary phase. An allowance of £1,500 per annum will be paid to you in monthly installments for the role as Lead First Aid. You will be self-motivated, exceptionally well organised and a good team worker with the ability to work effectively with students and their parents/carers; excellent communication skills are essential as well as good IT skills.
The successful candidate will be committed to young people and their development, with an understanding of the issues young people face.

The successful candidate will:
- provide high quality, well-planned pastoral support and guidance to students and their families in order promote high expectations, raise aspirations and facilitate academic progress
- enable all students to develop our Ark values, personal excellence and a sense of pride within the academy
- provide students and staff with first aid support, calling on medical services as required and to lead on all urgent first aid queries in the Primary phase

Working Pattern: Fulltime, term-time only
Salary: Ark Support Scale Grade 6: Pay Points 8 - 19: £22,777 - £27,852 per annum (pro-rata £21,673 - £26,502 per annum)
Additional Allowance: An additional allowance of £1,500 per annum will be paid to you in monthly installments for the role as Lead First Aid
