Opportunity for an exceptional candidate to be an Inclusion Intervention Tutor, shaping a new Ark secondary school in East Croydon.

Ark Blake Academy welcomed its first cohort of 180 Year 7 pupils in September 2020 and is already providing children in East Croydon with an excellent academic education, based on our strongly held values, for generations to come. Our Pastoral Team makes a significant contribution to the development of a highly aspirational culture at the Academy, enabling students with a variety of strengths and difficulties to reach their full potential.

 The role

The successful candidate will support the SENDCo in continuing to shape the academy’s pastoral team by effectively supporting targeted pupils. The role will be adaptive to the needs of the pupils, but is likely to involve in-class support, running social skills groups, liaising with curriculum teachers, acting as a key worker for individuals and supporting extra-curricular activities and inspirational trips.

This is an exciting post which will appeal to people with variety of backgrounds and specialisms. We feel this post would be particularly well suited to graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in education and/or SEND and want to gain experience and expertise. We welcome applications from all interested parties.

The successful candidate will grow with our school: we will develop you, providing one-to-one support, coaching and access to extensive network training.
