Ark
Byron Primary Academy opened in September 2015. It is now based in its own
building on the edge of Acton Park. Ark has extensive experience in
setting up brand new, outstanding primary academies and creating exceptionally
high achieving, happy schools.

Byron has a unique setting and is aiming to make the most of its park location
to promote outdoor learning in order to enrich our curriculum. We have
clear values that recognise the importance of "exploration",

our pupils to aim high and fulfil their full potential (as our motto says

with a staff team that works together to help pupils and adults alike to be the

The Role
We are now looking for a Vice Principal who will have a key focus
on the delivery and development of teaching and learning, and the structures
that are necessary for ensuring the continuous improvement of teaching and
learning within the academy. As a member of the senior leadership team the
appointed candidate will have a shared responsibility for the overall
leadership and management of the academy in our collective pursuit of the
highest possible standards.
The
successful candidate will:
- be an outstanding teacher with a proven track record of securing excellent outcomes
- have up-to-date knowledge of subject curricula and assessment requirements
- have experience of successfully leading a school as part of an SLT
- have experience of delivering effective training to individuals and groups of staff
- have experience of helping coordinate the vision and strategy for a large school
- have experience of managing effective external relationships with community and other stakeholders
- have experience of working in partnership with their principal and the rest of the senior leadership team, ensuring the safeguarding of all pupils, and that the safety and wellbeing of pupils and staff at all times
