Opportunity for an exceptional candidate to be a founding Assistant Principal of Ark Blake Academy, shaping a brand-new Ark secondary school in East Croydon
Ark Blake Academy welcomes its first year 7 cohort in September 2020 and will provide children in East Croydon with a first-class academic education, based on strongly held values, for generations to come.

We are recruiting a talented, highly effective senior leader to work in close partnership with the founding Principal and Vice Principal to embed this vision and develop an outstanding school. The successful candidate will lead on Ark Blake Academy’s strategic priorities in the areas of: Culture & Ethos, including Pastoral and Behaviour.
The successful candidate will be supported in their development and preparation for Headship. We will provide one-to-one support, coaching and access to extensive network training. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in broader Academy strategy, as well as collaborating and leading on network-wide projects.
The ideal candidate will:
· Have a strong academic background, with good A Levels, or equivalent, and a good degree
· Have the commitment, skills and character required to build a brand-new school
· Combine subject matter expertise with a passion for teaching their subject
· Share the Ark Blake vision and be aligned with the six pillars underpinning it
· Be reflective about the Academy and committed to securing its continued development
· Value and support practices driving continued progress across the network of Ark schools
