We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join us on our journey towards outstanding. You will play a pivotal role in a committed team and make a real impact on the outcomes of our pupils.
Ark Dickens is a lovely school in the heart of Portsmouth. We are a two-form entry primary academy, which became part of the Ark network in September 2014.

As a Teaching Assistant at Ark Dickens, you will be part of Ark, an international charity and on the UK’s most successful multi-academy trusts, with a network of 35 schools in 4 locations across the country.
Ideal candidates will:
· Have a minimum of 2 year’s experience as a teaching assistant, ideally within an Upper Key Stage 2 setting
· Have worked with children with specific learning, physical and social needs.
· Be a good team player with good interpersonal skills.
· Have high expectations of pupil behaviour.
· Contribute to the ethos of a friendly, happy school, in which the personal development and well-being is given the highest priority and where both academic and personal qualities of children are recognised and valued.
Contract: Fixed Term for one year
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Ark Support Staff Scale Band 3 Point 2 – 5: £20,508 - £21,575 Pro rata
(Actual salary - £18,014- £18,950)
Hours: 36 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Term time plus 1 week)
