Graduate Co-teacher

Ark Bentworth Primary Academy is a non-selective school serving children of all abilities. Our commitment is to know every pupil as an individual, and to foster the principles of team spirit, responsibility and care for others. We are now looking to recruit a Graduate Co-teacher who is committed to providing learning support to pupils and small groups who need it the most. We need exceptional graduates who will be inspirational role models to our pupils and work with both teachers and the wider school community to establish a supportive and nurturing learning environment in which children make rapid academic progress.

This is a great opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in primary teaching and could lead to the opportunity of training to be a teacher with the Ark Teacher Training programme www.arkteachertraining.org in 2022 - 23.  Our recent Graduate Co-Teachers have successfully gained a place on the programme and are now working towards Qualified Teaching Status with us.  We invest in our teachers as they aspire to continually develop their practice and become outstanding practitioners and leaders.  

Our ideal candidate will:
·         have experience working with young people in a paid or voluntary capacity
·         have a strong academic background in English and Mathematics
·         have the desire and enthusiasm to help deliver outstanding teaching
·         be committed to Ark Bentworth’s ethos of high expectations
·         have the resolve to make a real difference to the lives of pupils

Salary: Ark Support staff Pay scale 4, point 6 £23,849 pro rata £20,949
Hours: 36 hours per week, term time only (40 weeks)
Contract: Fixed Term Contract; Contract end date: 31st August 2022.
